We are Pooh and Viator – and together we are Team Insanire. We share a deep passion for exploring the world, telling stories, and embracing diversity. Over the years, our journey has taken us across continents. Along the way, we have experienced rallies, road trips, and countless spontaneous adventures.

Why Insanire?

The name Insanire (pronounced in-sa-NEE-re), which comes from Latin and means “to go insane”, may sound wild at first. However, for us it represents freedom. It stands for breaking away from the ordinary and, at times, questioning our own sanity – always in the best possible way.

Pooh is a Danish citizen, while Viator comes from Germany. Because of this, we bring together different cultures, perspectives, and ideas on every journey. Together, we believe that travel is not only about destinations, but also about people, genuine connections, and deeper understanding.

Therefore, tolerance plays a central role in everything we do. We approach all ethnicities, religions, and ways of life with openness and respect. As a result, our blog reflects this mindset. It offers a space where stories flow freely and differences are celebrated rather than judged.

In addition, we are parents of two nearly grown-up children who occasionally travel with us. Sharing these experiences as a family adds depth and meaning to our adventures. At the same time, we value every moment we spend together on the road.

Ultimately, insanire.de is more than a travel blog. It serves as our digital diary, where we document not only places, but also emotions, encounters, and reflections. So, join us as we explore the world with open hearts and open minds.

Next Adventure: Dresden-Dakar-Banjul in March 2026.
