We are Pooh and Viator – an we are “Team Insanire” – two passionate travelers with a deep love for exploring the world, sharing stories, and embracing diversity. Our journey together has taken us across continents, through rallies, road trips, and spontaneous adventures.

Insanire – Latin for “to go insane” – might sound wild at first. But for us, it’s a celebration of breaking free from the ordinary and sometimes even make us question our sanity (in the best way possible).

Pooh is a Danish citizen, Viator is German – and together we bring a unique blend of cultures, perspectives, and curiosity to every trip we take. We believe that travel is not just about places, but about people, connections, and understanding.

Tolerance is one of our core values. We are open-minded and respectful toward all ethnicities, religions, and ways of life. Our blog reflects this spirit – it’s a space where stories are shared freely, and differences are celebrated.

We are also parents of two nearly grown-up children who occasionally join us on our travels. Experiencing the world together as a family adds depth and joy to our adventures, and we cherish the moments we spend on the road with them.

Insanire.de is more than a travel blog – it’s our digital diary, a place where we document not only destinations but emotions, encounters, and reflections. Join us as we explore the world with open hearts and open minds.

At the end of June (2025), our journey took us quite literally to the other side of the world: After more than 25 years, we had the chance to visit New Zealand once again.
