Für unseren Ausflug nach Grömitz übernachteten wir für zwei Tage im dortigen Strandhotel (4 Sterne), mit 39 Zimmern ein überschaubares Hotel. Die Reservierung erfolgte diesmal aufgrund der Kurzfristigkeit per Telefon und wurde kompetent und sehr nett durchgeführt. Wir erhielten eine Junior-Suite, damit auch für uns alle vier genügend Platz da ist. Die Aufteilung hierfür ist auch sehr gelungen, die Kinder hatten Ihre Betten im “Wohnraum” und wir als Eltern in optisch separierten Schlafzimmer. Es gibt ein großes Badezimmer mit Regendusche und zusätzlich noch eine weitere Toilette, beide übrigens mit Bidet.

Zusätzlich gibt es noch eine sehr große Terrasse mit einem tollen Blick auf den Strand (wenn es denn nicht grad so neblig ist). Das Hotel liegt direkt an der ca. 3.5km langen Promenade und hat somit eine wirklich tolle Lage.
Das Personal war durchgehend sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, wir wurden grundsätzlich direkt mit Namen angesprochen. Das Frühstück war ausreichend, alle Zutaten schienen wirklich frisch, die Brötchen waren noch warm :-), der Kaffee wurde mir umgehend gebracht. Die Auswahl an warmen Speisen war allerdings begrenzt, es wurden die klassischen Ei-Varianten angeboten. Am Sonntag haperte es allerdings mit dem Nachlegen der Speisen und die beiden Servicekräfte wirkten im Gegensatz zum Samstag deutlich gestresster. Irgendwie lag ein gewisser Unmut in der Luft…
Grundsätzlich können wir das Strandhotel Grömitz uneingeschränkt empfehlen, die Lage ist Top, die Zimmer sauber und das Personal ist wirklich freundlich und nett. Was dem Strandhotel fehlt ist aber ein eigene Art von Gemütlichkeit, das Zimmer und auch das Restaurant wirken einfach nüchtern. Es handelt sich ja hier nicht um ein Kettenhotel in der Großstadt, sondern um ein kleines privat geführtes Hotel und diesen Vorteil sollte sich das Strandhotel auch zum Nutze machen, dann wäre wirklich fast alles perfekt 😉
